One of the many attractions Marina Bay Sands has to offer is “Wonderfull”, a light and water show. It runs daily at Event Plaza at the Promenade and is free!
Show times are: Sunday to Thursday 8pm and 9.30pm. Friday and Saturday 8pm, 9.30pm and 11pm. The show lasts for about 15 minutes.
The water tornado fountain in at The Shoppes. Guests can enjoy a Sanpan (boat) ride for a feeThe top portion of the fountain is situated outdoors. I think it looks terrible, like toilet bowl flushing…
We had lunch at TWG. There are 2 TWGs in Marina bay Sands The Shoppes; this is TWG Salon and the other branch is TWG on the Bridge. TWG Salon is larger and spacious while TWG on the bridge is rather cramped and sunlight from the glass roof shines directly into TWG on the Bridge. I didn’t want to spend 2 hours dining in the sun’s rays so we went to TWG Salon. Both branches share a common kitchen so the food served are the same.
I have written a lengthy review with loads of pictures about TWG here, hence I would just comment on the food briefly.
The light coloured tea is pure Ambrosia Tea, TWG describes it as follows: Truly a nectar of gods, this esoteric blend of green tea with citrus fruits yields, an infusion with refreshing noted of mint.
The darker colour tea is Vanilla bourbon tea, which is what I usually have whenever an establishment serves TWG teas.
Mains: Cordon Bleu chicken breast accompanied by confit zucchini and served with béarnaise sauce infused with happy tea. I would rate this as the best set lunch mains I have ever had in TWG; it tastes as delicious as it looks. Sadly I have yet to encounter this dish again since TWG changes the set meal mains weekly and they have wide variety of mains. In fact, come to think of it, I have never eaten the same main course twice even though I patronize TWG often.
There was no Raspberry mille feuille today, so I tried the Matcha mille feuille. I think the raspberry version is much better. In fact, Raspberry mille feuille is my favourite dessert at TWG and it one of their best sellers
