Prive Grill, the third visit

Lunching with GR at Prive Grill …again. This establishment is currently my favorite restaurant; love the ambiance, service, food and desserts.

I highly recommend Prive Grill’s set lunch which is priced at a very affordable $38++ for 3 courses. Unfortunately this is only available on weekdays.

For appetizers, GR had a braised ox tongue salad with mesclun, chick peas, red baby radish and tahini dressing.

I had crab chowder which was very flavorsome yet not overly salty.

GR had salmon confit with virgin cherry tomatoes, herbs beurre blanc and lemon dressing.

I ordered a similar main course that I had the previous time; Pan roasted chicken breast with vegetable ratatouille, herbed toast mash and natural jus. During my last visit which was a couple of weeks before this lunch, Prive served the chicken with Spanish chorizo sausages, puy lentils and creamy natural jus. I felt that the dish with the Spanish chorizo sausages and puy lentils tasted better though…

GR’s strawberry cream cheese pie with homemade strawberry sorbet.

My passion fruit and milk chocolate tart with triple chocolate ice cream and passion fruit sauce. A fantastic dessert! The sour taste from the passion fruit beneath the chocolate layer balanced the sweetness from the chocolate well. I love passion fruit and chocolate so this was definitely the highlight for me 🙂
