Afternoon tea buffet at The Regent Hotel’s Tea Longue with my BFFs! Buffet afternoon tea is served on weekends only, in 2 seatings: 12 noon to 2.30pm and 3pm to 5.30pm. It cost $48++ per pax and there are no credit card promotions. For those who are not into buffets, 3-tiered afternoon tea set is available on weekdays from 12 noon to 5pm.
Tea Lounge is my current favorite for afternoon tea buffet, because of the quality and spread of the food. Ritz Carlton’s Chihuly Lounge(see here and here) would rank 2nd; I wish they would serve some salads and not just savories and sweets. Shangri-la’s Rose Veranda(see here) sits way behind; with dull, common savories and lackluster desserts.
Tea Lounge’s service was attentive; empty plates were cleared quickly and tea pots were refilled promptly. The tables are tiny, hence we appreciated the fact we didn’t have used plates piling up.
I took pictures of all the food, and due to the large number of pictures, I had to split my post into 2 parts: Savories+Salads and Desserts
