Bangkok Travelogue: St Regis Bangkok Room

Hubby and I were extremely pleased with our stay at St Regis Bangkok. We spent 4 lovely nights in a 45 square meter deluxe room which was gorgeous.  I wrote about the convenient location and service, with pictures of the lobby, in my previous post HERE.

While staying at St Regis, guests can enjoy the hotel’s signature Butler service, 24 hours a day. So what can the butler do? I will elaborate more on this later on in this post.

When you first enter the room, there is a tall table as well an umbrella.

Then come 2 cupboards whereby you can find soft and luxe bedroom slippers.

The spacious bathroom has marble double basins, marble shower with rainforest showerhead and Laboratorie Remede amenities. I totally dislike the shower gel because of the pine and peppermint scent, which I find smell quite masculine and totally does not suit me. Hopefully, St Regis will consider adding a floral, fruity or vanilla scented shower gel to the bathroom.

Deep soaking tub with a plush pillow, plus the butler can prepare a bubble bath for you. The angle is just right for you to soak in the tub and watch TV.

There was a slight hiccup in communication, which left me feeling a little perturb. Butler A told me that they can do a milk or bubble bath. So when I was ready and called, Butler B told me there is no milk bath all along, only bubble bath was available. I was totally fine with the bubble bath option until the butler came with the Laboratorie Remede shower gel in his hand.

So I went: “are you going to make the bubble bath using this?”

He: “Yes Miss, I will use this and the shower head and make bubbles”

Arghs…in the end, I didn’t get a bubble bath because I didn’t want to smell like pine and peppermint. Luckily, I bought lavender bath salts from ARB-IMS which makes organic body products.

So here we are, preparing our own bath….

Do allow me to side track. Check out this interesting  “loofah in soap bar” which I got from ARB-IMS.

St Regis pays attention to details, even to the cotton pads. They are also environmentally-friendly; the cotton buds are made with cardboard rather than plastic.

I didn’t want to drink tap water and was glad to see 4 bottles of water in the room, which are replenished daily. This saved us a lot of trouble buying and carrying water back to the hotel. There is no kettle in the room, so do make use of the butler service. Give your butler a call and he/she will bring you a thermos flask of hot water. You can also inform your butler to bring hot water to your room daily.

Luxurious bath robes, and the WC along with a painting and telephone is behind this door.

King sized bed dressed in 300-thread count sheets, with feather pillows. If you don’t like the pillows, you can choose other pillows from the pillow menu and inform your butler.

Surprise Surprise! Thank you St Regis for being so sweet 🙂 Its my wedding anniversary by the way and I am so glad that we chose to celebrate it at St Regis.

With a personal touch…

The sitting area in my room with a long lounge chair. Some rooms have 2-seater sofas.

Complimentary fruit basket with cutlery- how thoughtful!

The generous sized work desk which became my makeup table.

Every night when we return to the room, there will be Thai mung bean marzipan at the counter. The filling is the same as what we have in our Ang Ku Kueh in Singapore

Wall to ceiling windows, but with a not so great view. I’m totally fine with that as I am not here to spend hours in the room looking outside.

Room service was quick and efficient when we called at 11pm. We had kids club sandwich and tom yum gigantic prawns soup. Yummsss
