MIL and I went to explore Elemis spa, located on the 15th story of St Regis Bangkok, close to the pool area. Because we already did body scrubs, milk baths and massages the day before at Hapa Spa, we just went to enjoy Elemis spa relaxation area (complimentary for hotel guests).
Elemis is a leading luxury British spa and skincare brand, inspired by nature and defined by sciences.
Upon entering the spa, I was amazed by the expansive relaxation area, tranquil and elegant atmosphere. There are 2 relaxation areas, one for men and the other for women, at separate locations. There was no one else other than the two of us, so we had the whole place to ourselves *WIN!*
The mezzanine level has showers, restrooms, suspended Relaxation Pods, comfortable seat lounges, dressing tables and locker facilities.
The wet area features Jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, and Foot Ritual wading pool. Behind the wet area, there are showers whereby you can personalized water pressure and a steam room. Soft soothing music plays in the background. This the ultimate haven for relaxation!
The Jaccuzi and cold plunge pool overlooks Bangkok city.
We spent about 20 minute alternating between the hot and cold waters, only our arms and legs though. We could not bring ourselves to immerse in the cold water nor go under the cold water shower. Going back and forth from hot and cold elements improves blood circulation; the skin on my arms and legs were felt taut was glowing that night.
Foot ritual pool with smooth stones to trigger acupressure points under the feet to unblock “qi” channels and give an overall felling of wellness
Pity that we didn’t have time to have a massage at Elemis spa, which i believe, will be fantastic.
