Brought mum and sis to try Brasserie Les Saveurs at St Regis Hotel a few months back. Back then, this posh French restaurant served value for money set lunches. Currently, a buffet spread is offered. I am doing this brief blog post today, just to share the yummilicious food pictures which I felt would be a pity to delete. For my previous detailed blog posts on Brassiere Les Saveurs here, here, here and here.
Amuse bouche was foie gras with foam
Scallops tartare with hazelnut oil, chive, pumpkin and sour cream. Loved the thick, creamy and smooth texture.
Pan-seared French sea-bass, green asparagus, tomato vinaigrette, mushroom and chicken jus. “Just barely cooked” tenderness inside the browned, crisp crust.
Roasted beef tenderloin, fork-mashed ratte potato, bone marrow and truffle red wine sauce was juicy, well-seasoned and full-flavored.
Oven baked red snapper, confit of capsicum and herbs coulis. The fish was very fresh, but tastes too bland and subtle so it doesn’t quite get off the ground.
Caramel milk chocolate, praline sable, with chocolate hazelnut ice cream.
The $58++ set meal included a selection of 2 sweets from the dessert trolley. I always look forward to choosing from these dainty cakes and pastries. Everyone deserves a good cake!
The waitress was really nice and gave us a complimentary piece of cake and mint chocolate. Coffee or tea is also part of the pricier set lunch.
