Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkleresist24 Intensive Eye Contour Cream is my HG AM eye cream. While many women may balk at the richness of this cream, I find (I’ve tried many) it’s the only eye cream that prevents creases under my multiple layers of concealer and powder, which I slap on to mask dark circles.
According to Shiseido, this “ultra-rich, age-defying cream counteracts the appearance of all five types of eye-area wrinkles by addressing the trigger that cause these wrinkles to appear. It replenishes youth-nurturing moisture all day long, to retain smooth, resilient youth-looking skin around the eyes.”
The eye cream strives to minimise corner crinkling (inner eye), lid creases, underpuff lines, under eye wrinkles and crow’s feet with 2 effective solutions. Mukurossi extract, Chorella extract and Gambir extract inhibit damage caused by the wrinkle-triggering enzyme attributes to the wrinkle-resisting solution. As for wrinkle-smoothing solution, Super Bio-hyaluronic acid N moisturises while Hydroxyproline stimulates collagen production. In addition, burnet extract improves skin slackening and loss of firmness.
The texture is luxuriously rich, and I find it’s too oily to apply at night. Which is why I only dap it on when using makeup, to prep the undereye area for thick concealer coverage. I recommend waiting at least 3 minutes for the product to sink in and be light-handed with it. A little goes a long way. As I dont have any wrinkles at the eye area, I can’t say for certain how it works to improve the apearance of wrinkles. Having said that, I’ll continue to invest in this eye cream to prevent signs of aging around my eyes
I totally dislike the tub packaging because it’s not the most hygienic. I use the spatula provided and take a blob of eye cream and slap it onto the cap. Every night, with a clean finger, I take some cream from this blob, minimizing contamination.
