Apart from the diverse activities on board Mariner of the Seas, various live performances are held almost daily to keep guests entertained. It was a pity we missed the Chinese Acrobat show on the first night, as we were stuffing our faces at Chops Grille.
On Day 2, we went to watch Ice Under The Big Top at Studio B, an impressive and exhilarating Ice Skating performance by Royal Caribbean’s International Ice Cast and guest star Marie-Pierre Leray. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime but I suggest going another 30 minutes earlier to queue in order to get good seats (first come first serve basis).
Side track a little, there was a group of Koreans, not sure what special occasion they were for…all the women were in fancy Hanboks.
Throughout the mornings and afternoons, there are photo taking opportunities with various Dreamworks characters. Each session lasts for 20 minutes. Queues start to form before the character even arrives so if you wish to have our picture taken with your favorite character, set off early. You can opt to purchase a professionally taken photo or just use our own camera. The Cruise Compass (itinerary) will state the character, time and location.
Dance Party with Dreamworks Characters at the poolside.
When darkness falls, there is no lack of nightlife on the ship
70s Dancing in the street disco party. Do the hustle and shake your booty to Y-M-C-A~~~
The huge Royal Theater-5 stories from orchestra pit to the domed ceiling. Here’s where all the other live shows are held. Unlike the ice-skating performance, there are plenty of space so you should be able to snag a good seat 15 minutes before showtime.
Centre Stage, a lively performance by Royal Caribbean singers, dancers and musicians. The backdrop reminds me of…Loony Toons!
Pianist Linda Gentille, who has performed more than 1000 concerts worldwide. Her music is absolutely captivating.

Drinks at Schooner Bar. We came for Patrice Doucet.
This guy is really something; the bar is overflowing EVERY night thanks to his dynamic performance.
Here’s the extensive list of songs you can choose from.
Stay tuned for my next post, which will be on complimentary dining on board Mariner of the Seas
