Glad to be back at Jeanne’s comfy nail salon, GeNails, to adorn my digits. This time she decorated my nails a new technique she recently learnt from top Nail Instructor, Ms Yoko Matsuda, who flew all the way from Japan to impart her skills.
The spotlight’s on tweed, a timeless intricate design, which is tedious and difficult to execute beautifully. However, it’s a piece of cake for Jeanne. She totally nailed it!
To complement my colourful tweed nails, Jeanne painted the other talons with shades of pink and red. For the final touch, she elevated them with embellishments.
Jeanne has 4 boxes of dazzling embellishments to choose from (the picture only shows 2). Yup, you’ll be spoilt for choice here. Oh, did I mentioned she also offers 230 Gelish shades and 180 polish colours?
Viola! I absolutely love the tweed design!
I really like her technique of securing the embellishments. They don’t scratch as they are smooth to touch, plus hair won’t get caught in between them. I’m quite rough with my hands, but my gelish mani still looks as good as new even though I’ve been doing loads of housework during the past 7 days, plus digging into crabs during a seafood feast. There’s some nail growth, but no lifting nor chipping, and my blings are all still intact 🙂
If you’re not aware, GeNails is just a 5 minute walk from Lavender MRT. As far as I know, it’s the most conveniently and centrally located home based nail salon in Singapore.
Jeanne is armed with a diploma from The Pink Room International Nail Academy and has worked passionately in the industry since August 2014. She’s warm and friendly, with high standards in hygiene and her craft. Her studio is welcoming, with a rest area, a neat work station, and a comfy pedicure chair (check out my older posts at the end for more pictures and info). If you’re too busy to leave your home, fret not, you can have well-groomed nails thanks to Jeanne’s Mobile Service.
