Alila Villas Uluwatu resort is unlike any other. For one, its location is exceptional-perched gracefully on steep limestone cliffs, offering breathtaking views across the Indian Ocean. Service is excellent too, we felt pampered from the beginning to the end of our stay
The entrance and lobby
Inside the cabana
Views from the cabana
Taking a dip in the infinity pool, with views of the magnificent India ocean
The Spa, which uses Spa Alila products made from natural ingredients. After sipping on a refreshing concoction of lemongrass, ginger and honey, I was ushered to the treatment villas. Yups, you read it right, villa, not room. Spa Alila conducts treatments in single standing villas for extra privacy.
Each spa villa is nestled in greenery and is equipped with an outdoor shower, changing room and safe for your valuables. After a lemongrass, lime and sea salt foot soak, I had a Balinese Massage (Rp 1,510,000), about SGD 150, with a blend of mandarin, chamomile and geranium essential oils. The massage was good, but not outstanding, unlike the session I had at Fairmont Sanur. One can find similar massage standards in Singapore.
The Yoga Pavillion, where lessons are conducted from 9am to 10am daily.
The wine tasting room, decorated with Batik stamps.
Balinese dance performance at the lobby during the late afternoon.
It takes 650 steps to get to the beach; do request for a staff to accompany you, just to be safe.
Even our ride to the airport is so luxurious. A staff member will be waiting at the airport to receive you and assist with your baggage and check in. Superb service!
We had an absolutely relaxing and rejuvenating vacation at Alila Villas Uluwatu. If you’re in need of a quiet retreat in a secluded setting, look no further. Will blog about the villa soon so stay tuned!
