In celebration DROP‘s launch, NESCAFE Dolce Gusto has partnered Chef Janice Wong, one of Asia’s best pastry chefs and owner of 2am:dessertbar. Janice has created 3 exclusive desserts, to complement 3 different coffee variants- Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato and Ristretto Ardenza.
Named after and inspired by NESCAFE Dolce Gusto signature cappuccino variant, The Cappuccino is constructed with a melon aerated-disc created from fresh melon and milk to resemble the frothy foam milk atop a cup of Cappuccino. Janice adds in tonka milk ganache and milk sorbet to elevate the flavours, as well as hazelnut streusel for that delightful crunch.
If you like light, zesty desserts, go for the Popcorn. The highlight, popcorn parfait, is contrasted with a myriad of acidity and zesty flavours made up of mango cream, raspberry passion fruit caramel popcorn, yuzu parfait and plum gel. This dessert complements the creamy, full-bodied and slightly sweetened Latte Macchiato beautifully.
Chocolate addicts will love the Chocolate Licorice, conjured to partner Ristretto Ardenza, an intense espresso variant with a rich complex and long after-taste. In this decadent dessert, the earthy notes in the chocolate and licorice mousse are accentuated with thyme lemon ice cream. Peanut butter dulce sticky frozen ganache and cinnamon coffee crumble add textual variation.
NESCAFE Dolce Gusto coffee and dessert pairings are available at 2am:dessertbar until 14th December 2015 and range from $25-$27.
Many thanks to Asia PR Werkz, NESCAFE Dolce Gusto and Chef Janice for the lovely afternoon of fragrant coffee and elegant sweets.
