Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore has a new art installation that allows all visitors and staff of the hotel to share their best-kept secrets of interesting and
unique places to visit in Singapore. Measuring 2.4 by 1.5 metres, Jen’s Heart Map envisions to be a “live Pinterest board” where people can stick on recommendations with details of interesting sights and sounds, restaurants, bars etc. in the corresponding areas on the island.
As part of its #JenWhyArt philosophy, the team at Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore has conceptualised and setup this art installation in consultation with Singapore-based photographer, Linda Preece. The idea behind Jen’s Heart Map is the hotel’s way of bringing the best of what the city has to offer right into the hotel, making it easy for guests to access.
“At Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore, we want our guests and visitors, to have the opportunity to learn something new about Singapore”, said Vathsala Subramaniam, General Manager of Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore, “And if they decide to head out and have for themselves an experience that is off the beaten track, I would say that we have done our job. Here at Hotel Jen, we always strive for our guests to have a truly authentic and local experience of what our city has to offer.”
The official launch of Jen’s Heart Map will take place on October 13th 2016, in conjunction with an artistic print exhibition, ‘Vibrant Singapore’, that encapsulates Ms Linda Preece’s interpretation of Singapore’s historical shop houses – her ode to Singaporean heritage.
