Progressive Cantonese restaurant, Mitzo Restaurant & Bar, welcomes the hairy crab season with a different member of the crustacean family: the Sri Lankan Crab, a favourite among Singaporeans. Breaking out of the norm, Mitzo’s alternative take offers diners a 5-course Splendid Crab Feast menu (S$98++ per person, minimum two persons) available from 1 October to 9 December 2016. Diners can look forward to enjoying the sweet and succulent Sri Lankan crab meat dishes in modern interpretation, cleverly executed by Executive Head Chef Nicky Ng.
The meal starts off with an appetizing all-crab Dim sum platter of Deep-fried soft shell
crab wrapped with salted egg charcoal puff, Crab meat roll, and Poached crab and
shrimp dumpling. Indulge in a warm jade-coloured Steamed crab meat and chicken
soup dumpling served with a straw made out of a crab leg shell that enhances the soup
flavour. Pastry lovers are in for a crusty treat with the menu’s third course, a Crispy crab
claw filo topped with crab roe while the Fragrant rice in superior broth with crab meat
and crispy rice is a flavourful and wholesome dish that is set to tantalise your taste buds.
Rounding up the Splendid Crab Feast menu is a light and refreshing Peach resin and
Chrysanthemum aiyu jelly dessert that helps to cleanse the palates.
