This November, home-grown brand Spa Esprit Group (SEG) brings to you the first-ever Amoy St. Bloc Party, in collaboration with the hottest establishments including Ding Dong, boCHINChe, Employees Only, Le Binchotan, Burger Joint, Maggie Joan’s, Gemmills and Birds of a Feather. A festival curated by SEG, the inaugural Amoy St. Bloc Party welcomes the ‘New Kids on the Bloc’ in style with a day’s worth of playing, feasting and drinking.
From 3.00pm to 12.00mn on Sunday, 20 November 2016, watch as the uber-popular
Amoy Street – set within the Central Business District (CBD) – gets transformed into a
bustling street festival filled with fun, food, drinks and community activities. The participating new kids on the block will dish out signature offerings and boozy cocktails to
celebrate the breath of fresh life into the area, culminating in an exhilarating day of dining,
music, culture and shopping.
“Amoy Street has a special significance in Singapore’s history, well-known for its
contribution to our local cultural and dining scene. With the recent move of many notable
and award-winning F&B brands to the area, both local and international, we were inspired
to curate an event to celebrate this unique mix of brands and passionate community,” says
Cynthia Chua, Founder & Managing Director, Spa Esprit Group. “The Amoy Street Bloc
Party provides us with the perfect opportunity to create and cement something wonderful
for our neighbourhood,” she concludes.
Each participating establishment will provide their signature dishes and cocktails on the
day, guaranteed to satisfy the culinary and libation expectations of all party-goers. Expect
delightful and hearty offerings from a diverse variety of F&B establishments, from modern
Southeast-Asian cuisine to Argentine and French-Italian tapas to stiff New York-style cocktails and affordable wines. Stay hydrated through the day and beat the heat with Fiji
Water, pure and refreshing mineral water drawn from the idyllic setting of Fiji island.
Aural pleasures and dancing feet await two performance stages! In partnership with Sunshine Nation, live performances and music acts, such as local selector DJ KFC as well as headline performer UK artiste DJ Roscius, will take place throughout the day at the main stage outdoors. The party won’t stop – come night, step into Ding Dong as the playful restaurant space is reimagined as a retro dancefloor for the festival. Show off your moves to 80s and 90s hits during the after-party, happening till
12.00mn, and grab a Ding Dong Daiquiri or two.
Hop on an extraordinary journey with Jeep as the iconic Jeep Wrangler takes you on a ride around the block. Guests can have an in-car party on an exploration of the area with music from the main stage streamed within the vehicle.
For those looking to get creative, The Artling will be displaying an array of art such as
limited edition prints and paintings from local and emerging artists along the street. Partygoers can also get their game on with interactive arcade games, or dabble in a spot of
fitness in a workout class by F45, one of the world’s fastest growing fitness studios. One
can also learn how to plant your own edible garden from everyone’s favourite urban farming
collective, Edible Garden City, or simply chill in a hammock!
