Congratulations to Fernando Sparks from Hard Rock Café Bali for winning the regional round of the BARocker competition. Contestants from 12 countries such as Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines gathered and competed at the newly renovated Hard Rock Café Singapore, vying for a spot in the Global BARrocker competition, held in Panama next year.
The contestants were judge by a panel of industry experts- Cindy Busi (Senior Worldwide Beverage Director), Ricky Paiva (Master Mixologist) and Shahmil Lin (Barstylez founder) on recipe knowledge, pour testing, accuracy, speed, flair and showmanship.
This was my first time attending a competition like this, and found it heart-stopping to witness the bartender’s thrilling moves. How exciting!
We were also treated to some enticing finger food and cocktails.
Jumbo Combo ($34) which comprises of well-loved appetizers such as Signature Wings, Onions Rings, Tupelo Chicken Tenders, Spinach Artichoke Dip with Parmesan Flatbread and Bruschetta. Served with hickory barbeque, honey mustard and blue cheese dressing.
Nachos ($25). Tortilla chips buried in sour cream, three bena mix, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, pico de gallo, japapenos and green onions.
