After a long tiring day at work, what could be better than chilling with colleagues and friends over French bites and wines?
O Batignolles, a wine bar and French bistrot decorated in a chic Parisian fashion, is the spot to decompress in the evenings. Located along Gemmill Lane, CBD folks can conveniently head over after work for a tipple and graze on cheese, cold cuts and the newly-launched French Tapas
Awaken the palate with a customised Cheese & Charcuterie Platter, where you can pick from an extensive variety of gourmet farm cheeses imported from France, in addition to appetizing deli meats such as Duck Rillette, Country Terrine and Jambon de Bayonne. I particularly enjoyed the delicate rosettes of Tête de Moine, a silky aromatic and fruity cheese made from raw cow milk, as well as the Brillat Savarin, a classic French triple cream cheese made even more luxurious with a generous layer of fragrant black truffles.
Ooh la la! Just look at those layers of cheese and bechamel! The quintessential French classic get a modern twist at O Batignolles. As the saying goes, “good things come in little packages” and it cannot be truer for these fun-sized Croque Monsieur Bites ($20)
The Mini Burger ($24) easily tops my favourite spot on the menu. Juicy beef patty, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes sandwiched between fluffy toasted buns- what’s there not to like? Oh, and did I mention that the good folks at O Batignolles use Mobier Cheese to give an extra oomph and savoury touch to these petite treats?
Prefer something light on the tummy? Go for the refreshing Smoked Salmon & Avocado on Polaine, a highly prized King of Breads from Paris.
Apart from the ala carte menu and French Tapas, O Batignolles also whips up weekend brunch sets at $32, which is inclusive of your choice of eggs and bread (brioche/French toast/pain au chocolate basket), free-flow croissants and beverages.
Party towards the weekend at O Batignolles Bastille Day Event, held tonight (14th July) from 6pm till late. Click here more deets.
Many thanks to Protegie and O Batignolles for the invite.
