Brunch spots are aplenty in Singapore and we never fall short of choices, however, not all brunch experiences are created equal. Located at the Fullerton Pavillion, the enchanting Monti boast spectacular views. The multi-concept venue offers a leisurely a la carte Brunch Buffet on Sundays that meanders for a good 3 hours.
Commence with some greens from the Salad Station, or tummy-warming Mushroom Soup with farmer’s bread.
Your taste buds will revel in the Frutti Di Mare, a sensation seafood platter comprising of succulent Alaskan King Crabs, Oysters, Tiger Prawns, Mussels, Clams, Salmon Sashimi and Tuna Tataki. Do note that each table is limited to one seafood platter, but there’s no restriction for everything else.
Cold Cut selection includes Prosciutto, Salami, Chorizo, Pork Rillette, Duck Rillette, as well as Cotechino and Capocollo, which are not commonly spotted in Singapore’s dining scene.
Tuck into trusty brunch favourites such as Eggs Benedict, Egg Salmon Florentine and French Toast. I particularly enjoyed the Eggs Benedict – the molten yolk of a perfectly poached egg and crisps bacon never cease to delight me!
Monti’s signature dish, Cacio Pepe E Tartufo, is served table-side in a theatrical fashion, in a flaming wheel of parmesan cheese. The lush risotto will impress your palate with its remarkable flavours, imparted from earthy Black Truffle and fragrant cheese.
Dont’ miss the Ribeye Steak which arrived just the way we ordered- medium rare exuding a nice char grilled smokiness to the tender meat. Major love for the anchoy butter, which lend an extra punch of flavour.
Another highly raved item is the Prawn Bowl, where BBQ crustaceans are accentuated with olive oil and red eye chilli.
At Monti, pasta is prepared a la minute, customised to your liking. I opted for Prawn Aglio OIio which twirled its way into my heart which its intense garlicky flavours.
Yay to how the dishes are served in small portions, because it means more stomach space to dig into a wider variety.
Heighten the weekend merriment with petite toothsome treats from the Dessert Table such as Lemon Rosemary Tartlets, Tiramusu, Zabaglione Shooters and Peanut Cream Cheese Tartlets.
Monti’s enticing dishes and luxurious space certainly left an indelible impression. Highly recommended, especially for times when you simply just need to treat yourself!
