Unbeknownst to most, Audra spent her growing up years in Singapore and constantly draws inspiration for her dishes from her Chinese-Indian heritage which she holds very close to her heart. Furthermore, using fresh, seasonal produce in every dish is of the utmost importance to Audra and she does so with ease, creating original, beautifully crafted food where texture, harmony of flavours from different cultures, come together to create the perfect dish.
The five-part meal will start with canapés and drinks to get your taste buds fired, and count on Audra to produce a fresh and satisfying dinner designed for a truly special evening. “I have created a special menu based on some of my favourite flavours and inspirations from my travels, utilizing the best of Australian produce,” said Audra. “It is wonderful to be able to share with the diners in Singapore all the best produce that we have in Australia and to that I add a ladle of Singaporean tradition, a teaspoon of familiar local flavours, the all-important interactive crispy indulgence matched with family comfort, before finishing the dinner with sweet essentials,” she added.
Each creation is presented in fun and imaginative ways, building on your excitement to see what will be coming up next and is just as exciting to taste. Encounter the often unexpected combinations of flavours that will leave you wanting more. Audra will also be interacting and speaking to diners about her journey since MasterChef and her inspiration and philosophy of food that is the root of all her cooking.
“Food does not need to be classified or be put into boxes. Food is not something to fill an empty stomach – it is a way of getting to know yourself, your neighbours and the world we live in. Through food, we learn about culture, and through culture, we broaden our minds and become more accepting, and through these culinary experiences, we live a better life,” said Audra.
