Award winning ramen chain from Tokyo, Ramen Nagi, is offering the first Limited King in Singapore- Tom Yummy King ($18.90). Thailand’s favorite hot and sour Tom Yum spice, infused with Nagi’s award winning tonkotsu broth, is certainly a match made in heaven. The spicy creation is topped enticing with trimmings such as crunchy, succulent prawns and pork shoulder cha shu.
If you are keen to try this limited edition flavor, do hurry! Renown Ramen Master, Chef Ikuta Satoshi, has prepared enough broth for only 400 servings.
We also tried one of Ramen Nagi’s signatures, Red King (15.90), a rich blend of garlic, chilli oil cayenne pepper in velvety broth topped with a ball of miso-infused minced pork, Nagi spices and your choice of pork shoulder or pork belly char shu. Although the charshu pork belly is pretty indulgent, I highly recommend it because of its sublime melt-in-the-mouth texture. The flavorsome soup will definitely be a source of comfort on a rainy day!
At Ramen Nagi, diners can personalize their ramen, from the richness of the broth, amount of garlic, spicy level and ramen texture. Peeps who like to engage in food photography should get the extra firm noodles. That way, you don’t have to slurp up soggy noodles post picture taking.
The Chicken Karaage ($9) here is one of a kind! The well-marinated meat is skillfully fried to crisps, drizzled with a sweet sauce prepared in accordance to a secret recipe, and served with mayo mustard dip texturized with chopped hardboiled egg whites. I also like that Nagi’s karaage has no unpleasant greasy mouth feel.
The Gyoza ($7.90) features bed of adorable mini dumplings stuffed with meat and vegetables seasoned in Japanese spices. The humble Gyoza is made more unique with a skirt of crispy lattice.
Conveniently located at Suntec City, Ramen Nagi is the place to visit for memorable, fuss-free and affordable Ramen meals!
Many thanks to Protegie for the invite and Ramen Nagi for the warm hospitality
