TGIF! Today I shall be doing quite a long post on 7 outfits I purchased recently 🙂


A long time ago when I was a teenager, I read an interview on a successful career woman, who was photographed wearing a Peter Kor Cheongsam. The design mesmerized me and left such a deep impression that I went looking for this Singaporean Label once I started working. But alas, it was too pricy and I didn’t have any special event to attend, so I just stood around to admire the clothes. Recently, my friend’s wedding and a sale at Tangs (thank goodness!) provided me an excuse to splurge on this refined and elegant asymmetrical floral dress XD

Yan Ting Part 1

Yan Ting, located on the second level of St Regis Hotel, is well known for serving the best dim sum in Singapore. The award winning establishment is one of the more authentic Cantonese restaurants providing diners with top notch fine dining experience. This is the to visit if you are looking to impress, or to savor dim sum delicacies.A tastefully decorated corridor leads to the main dining area; with paintings of spring, summer, autumn and winter at the end of the room. Reservation is a must as seats are limited; I even called to book in March for a table in August, as I didn’t want to take any chances for this birthday occasion.

The Lighthouse @ Fullerton Hotel

If you wish to impress your date, this is the place! Located on the apex of Fullerton Hotel, The Lighthouse is an intimate Italian restaurant boasting panoramic views of Marina Bay and the city skyline. Remember to visit the  private rooftop lounge above the restaurant to enjoy a drink, breathtaking views and a long chat with your date 🙂

The food was delectable and the service was good at first, but it got busier later in the evening and there was 2 occasions whereby we had trouble getting the staffs’ attention.

It was Dear’s birthday, I donned an Allure frock for this special occasionThe cozy restaurant only has seating for 52 diners; reservation is recommended.

We ordered the set menu, but swapped some of the dishes. The restaurant is very flexible, you can swap with any of the dishes that belonged to the same category on the menu. Continue reading
