Usher In The Year Of The Monkey With Tien Court @ Copthorne King’s Hotel

I had the opportunity to attend the Chinese New Year tasting dinner menu at Tien Court that serves contemporary Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine at Copthorne King’s Hotel last week. Tien Court’s masterchef, Taipei-born Ho Tien Tsai has been around for more than 20 years. He is also known as the celebrity chef that appeared in Singapore local (Mediacorp) programme productions. I was ushered to a private room to join the other invited guests for the session upon arrival.

Tien Court Mooncakes

Although I am not a fan of mooncakes, I cannot help resist trying some colorful snowskin ones every Mid-autumn Festival. Pretty stuff always attracts my attention XD.

Hotels, restaurants and confectionery are coming up with interesting flavors and combinations every year; I noticed Peony Jade launched Angry Bird mooncakes and they cost a bomb at about $88 a set of 4.

This year, I tried Tien court’s mooncakes which were yummy and reasonable priced. Continue reading

Tien Court

Experience the art of Chinese fine dining at Tien Court at Copthrone King’s Hotel. Master Chef Ho Tien Tsai has made appearances in several episodes of cooking programs aired in Channel 8. Tien court serves a mix of Cantonese and Si Chuan cuisine. I have been here several times since Tien Court is my FIL’s favorite restaurant; my pictures are a collation from different visits.

The food was ALWAYS good and the service was ALWAYS impeccable (may be due to the fact my FIL is a regular)

It was MIL’s birthday so we booked a private room to celebrate.
